RigHired

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 28, 2026 · Last updated: September 28, 2026

RigHired ("RigHired," "we," "us") connects CDL truck drivers with trucking companies that are hiring. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to righired.com, our driver and carrier accounts, our booking pages, and our emails, calls and text messages (together, the "Services").

The short version
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
  • Drivers: carriers see your qualifications first. Your name, phone and email are released only to a carrier you're matched with, as described below, so they can contact you about the job.
  • We run background, driving-record and drug-test steps only with your written permission.
  • We never share your mobile number or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing andrew@righired.com.

2. How we use information

We do not use your information for decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. Our matching compares a driver's details with a carrier's stated requirements to suggest fits. Carriers and our recruiters make the hiring decisions.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We share information only as follows:

4. Background checks, driving records and drug tests

5. Text messages (SMS)

6. Google user data

RigHired staff can connect a Google account so client calls can be booked. With that permission, RigHired reads the busy times on the connected calendar, so booking pages show only free times. It also creates, changes and cancels calendar events with Google Meet links for calls booked through RigHired, and sends invites to the people who booked. We don't read the details of other calendar events, only whether a time is busy.

RigHired's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it, and people don't read it unless you ask us to, it's needed for security or the law, or it has been aggregated and made anonymous. You can disconnect Google at any time in RigHired or in your Google Account permissions.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

8. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, then delete it or make it anonymous. How long depends on:

Driver profiles with no activity are deleted or made anonymous after a reasonable period. You can ask us to delete yours sooner (see section 10).

9. How we protect information

We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords, and we offer two-step sign-in. Staff and carriers see only what their role allows, and important account actions are logged. No website or system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

How to ask: email andrew@righired.com with the subject "Privacy request." To protect you, we'll confirm your identity, usually by checking a code sent to the email or phone on your account, before sharing or deleting information. You can use an authorized agent. We may ask for proof that the agent may act for you. We respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time as the law allows. We won't charge you or treat you differently for using your rights.

Appeals: if we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the subject "Privacy appeal." We will answer within the time your state's law allows. If you're not satisfied, you can contact your state's Attorney General.

11. Additional information for U.S. state residents

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and a growing number of other states give residents specific privacy rights, which are described in section 10. For those laws, here is a summary of the past 12 months:

We have not sold personal information or shared it for targeted advertising, and we have no actual knowledge of doing so for anyone under 16. Some of what we collect, such as drug-test status, is "sensitive" under some state laws. We use it only with your consent, and only as needed for the hiring process you asked to join, not to infer things about you. Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information.

12. Children

The Services are for adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Where information is processed

RigHired is based in the United States and serves U.S. drivers and carriers. Our information is stored by our hosting provider and processed in the United States. Some service providers may process it in other countries under safeguards that protect it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you by email, text or a notice on the website before it takes effect. We won't use information we already have in a significantly new way without your consent where the law requires it.
